“Capt Chris did a phenomenal job at taking our bachelorette party to the next level. we were able to bring our own speaker and play music and have a great time! he created a custom paleo lunch that that was absolutely delicious (we’re still dreaming of the rice noodles with almond butter sauce). He was in touch with us before hand and asked if we were open to meeting earlier in the day due to bad weather. we’re so thankful that we didn’t have to cancel; needless to say we really appreciated capt chris’ flexibility. On Airbnb since 2016 “I booked this as a surprise anniversary gift for my fiance and it was an awesome experience. we live in Milford and love kayaking on the sound and we're both foodies so this was a perfect combination. We met Chris at the marina and he was ready to welcome us with a glass of wine. He gave us a tour of the boat and went over safety measures. We then set off on our sailing adventure. Although it was sweat shirt weather since it's still early spring, we really picked a perfect day as the water was just so calm and sailing was a peaceful and magical experience. (Ahead of our experience Chris was constantly in touch with me as we kept an eye on the weather.) We sailed down to New Haven and back to Charles Island just in time for sunset. During our sail we enjoyed wine we brought out on the boat ong with delicious crudites that Chris had prepared. Once we docked at Charles Island Chris begun to get our dinner ready as we watched the many people walk over from Silver Sands to Charles Island during low tide. For our meal we had an absolutely delicious crab cake, which was all crab!! We then moved into the cabin for our dinner which was a Cajun style dinner. We had gumbo, dirty rice, corn bread as well as pickles and an asparagus, greens, candied pecans, prosciutto and burratta salad. The dinner was 5 stars and also what makes this experience such a great value!! After dinner we went back up on the boat and enjoyed dessert as we sailed back to the marina. I can't tell you the exact name of the desserts as they were some fancy items, but one was this incredible bread pudding type of dish and the other was a sous vide type of chocolate mousse. The desserts were just as delicious as the meal! All in all we give this experience 11 stars! Chris is a skilled sailor and even more skilled chef. We enjoyed his company and learning more about the history of the boat and just sharing stories. Also, the boat is a gem, it's beautiful, clean and full of character. The cabin includes a kitchen, a dining room and of course a restroom which is so great when you're enjoying a few glasses of wine. We recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area and also for anyone local who wants to enjoy a special evening right in our gem of a backyard! Thank you Chris for a great anniversary celebration!”
